Amtrak Stations & Routes

Look up any Amtrak station for arrival/departure times, station amenities, and accessibility information.

Mobile App

The Amtrak app (iOS/Android) is the best way to track trains in real time, buy tickets, and check schedules. Mobile tickets are accepted on all trains — no need to print.

Tip: Amtrak train status updates are more accurate than departure boards at the station. Check the app or website for real-time delays before you head to the platform.

NJ Transit Rail

At New York: All NJ Transit ticketing and departure boards are in the underground concourse (7th Avenue side) — not in Moynihan Train Hall.

NJ Transit Train Schedules

Official trip planner — enter your origin and destination for a step-by-step train schedule with all stops, transfer points, and fares.

NJ Transit DepartureVision (Real-Time)

Mobile App

The NJ Transit app (iOS/Android) has mobile ticketing, real-time departures, and push notifications for delays. Buy your ticket IN the app BEFORE boarding — there's a surcharge for buying onboard.

Tip: NJ Transit posts track assignments only ~10 minutes before departure at NY Penn Station. The DepartureVision website and app show this info at the same time as the station boards — useful if you're grabbing food in Moynihan and want to monitor your track from your phone.

Long Island Rail Road (LIRR)

Tip: LIRR trains from Penn Station serve both the west side (via Moynihan/underground) and east side (underground only). Check your train's track number to know which concourse to use.

At New York: PATH does NOT serve NY Penn Station directly — the nearest PATH station is 33rd Street (6th Ave & 33rd St), a 2-block walk from Penn.

Tip: 34th St–Herald Square (B/D/F/M/N/Q/R/W) is a 3-minute walk from Penn Station's 33rd St exit and often has more frequent service than the direct 1/2/3 or A/C/E connections.
