Philadelphia 30th Street Station

Philadelphia's 30th Street Station is a grand Neoclassical rail hub and one of the busiest Amtrak stations in the United States. Opened in 1933, it serves as a gateway between the Northeast Corridor and points west and south.

Station History

Designed by Graham, Anderson, Probst & White and opened in 1933, 30th Street Station replaced the older Broad Street Station. Its Neoclassical design features a 95-foot-high coffered ceiling in the main waiting room, Corinthian columns, and the iconic 'Angel of the Resurrection' sculpture honoring Pennsylvania Railroad employees who died in World War II. The station was designated a National Historic Landmark in 2005.
